Production 8- Finished

For the end of this week I finished up my project. I am making sure that everything is perfect, and that it is ready to submit before Friday. I checked grammar, spelling, and the overall content of my magazine. I finished up editing the feature article and making sure that everything looked nice and well-done, before this is sent off to Cambridge. It took me a while to figure out how to transfer my project from the application I was working in to Blogger, but I figured it out. Im nervous about it being difficult to read; however, it should be ok. I am glad that I finally got this project finished.

1st Draft: Seaside Living

This is the first draft to my final project!... I have inserted screenshots, and pictures of my magazine so that it is easily accessible, and very easy to read/ look at.

Production 7- Overall Look

This past weekend, I have worked on bringing everything together. At the start of this week, I worked on making sure I had everything done, and putting all of my article and pictures into the format that I want. I worked on the design of the whole project and focused on the overall look rather, than editing the actual work. This will be done later in the week. I have veered away from what I had made in my storyboard, but overall, I think that what I had done is better for my project.

Production 6- InDesign/ Figuring It Out

Through the course of this week, it has been difficult for me to fully get a lot of work done. However, I have been working at both my feature article and pictures. Both have already been done, but I just wanted to make sure that everything is right before adding them to my finished product. Things have been pretty hard to do the rest of this week, considering I have not been at school and all of the applications that I could use are accessible through my school account. However, I have been working with some alternatives, considering I will not be able to do it next week. I figured out how to work everything and put it all together in InDesign.

Production 5- Bringing It All Together

1/11/21-1/13/21: As I was putting things into InDesign, I realized that this application is not going to be very easy for me to use for my overall magazine. So I decided to change my application to Microsoft Publisher. I have used this application before and have found it pretty simple to work through. At this point in the project I do not think it would be a big deal to change; however, this may not work out and I might have to work with InDesign. I had to quarantine for the rest of this week, for personal reasons so I will have to adjust from using a school computer to now using my at home computer. I finished my feature article and now I am just fixing and finalizing everything that I have. Things will be a lot harder to put into an application; however, I will still be inserting these items and keeping everything together and organized.

Production 4- Feature Article and Interview

1/6/21-1/10/21: Although I have not yet completely wrote the content of my feature article, I have started and thought about what I was going to write and the activities I want to include and talk about. I live in Sarasota so I know the town pretty well; because of this I was able to map out the direction that I wanted to take easily. I had mentioned before that I would be doing a holiday themed magazine; however, the more I thought about it the more I realized that it would be easier to just do a regular "inexpensive beach vacation" theme. I realized that it would be a lot more difficult to accumulate the information and much more difficult to get pictures since that time of year has passed. For my interview I still have a little to work on, I have started conducting the interview and plan on finalizing it throughout this and next week. I began writing some of the information in my feature article will continue to do so.

Production 3- Photos and Editing

1/4/21- 1/6/21: At the beginning of this week I started looking at some of the photos that I have taken and began to edit and make them look better. I first edited them on my phone considering that it would be easier to see and manipulate. I then transferred them from my phone to the computer so I could then insert the pictures into InDesign. It took me some time to find an app on my phone to complete the look that I wanted for my pictures. I still have not taken all of them so this was just a start into this section of my overall project. This week I have also continued to take pictures. I have gone to some places where there are still holiday lights or places where I can get that kind of spirit. Doing this will help a lot with the flow of the rest of my project. If I have pictures now it will be easier to then write my article and do the rest of my magazine later on.
