Post Production 1- Text Changes

To begin my editing and post production journey, I first made a few small changes to my project. These were the big changes, that people saw, and were mostly visual. I will later look and edit the actual content, but for now I fixed all the things that people pointed out and made sure that my project look sharp. These things included moving the text to make it centered, and changing the font of one section, to make it match the other parts. This is something that someone had pointed out and I most likely would not have noticed it. In my next blogpost, I will have more of the editing process, but for now I only changed the visual aspects of. my project. There were little critiques to my project to begin with, so I just did as much as I could without changing too much of the overall product.

Peer Review

Last week after presenting my magazine to my peers and teacher, I received very good feedback. I was very excited to here about what people had to say about my magazine, good or bad. Luckily for me the feedback I received, was mostly positive. I got a lot of comments about the overall look of my magazine. I was told that it "looked like a real magazine" and they liked the barcode as well as the star I added on the content page to distinguish which one was the feature article.  I added to the bottom to give it that exact feel. I was also told that the color theme throughout my magazine was well thought out and consistent and the content page has a nice background, especially with the background being faded. I agree with this, I took time to create borders to the top of my content page, to be able to keep the green theme all the way through and make sure that the text stood out over the background. In contrast to the good feedback, I also received some constructive feedback. T...

Production 8- Finished

For the end of this week I finished up my project. I am making sure that everything is perfect, and that it is ready to submit before Friday. I checked grammar, spelling, and the overall content of my magazine. I finished up editing the feature article and making sure that everything looked nice and well-done, before this is sent off to Cambridge. It took me a while to figure out how to transfer my project from the application I was working in to Blogger, but I figured it out. Im nervous about it being difficult to read; however, it should be ok. I am glad that I finally got this project finished.

1st Draft: Seaside Living

This is the first draft to my final project!... I have inserted screenshots, and pictures of my magazine so that it is easily accessible, and very easy to read/ look at.

Production 7- Overall Look

This past weekend, I have worked on bringing everything together. At the start of this week, I worked on making sure I had everything done, and putting all of my article and pictures into the format that I want. I worked on the design of the whole project and focused on the overall look rather, than editing the actual work. This will be done later in the week. I have veered away from what I had made in my storyboard, but overall, I think that what I had done is better for my project.

Production 6- InDesign/ Figuring It Out

Through the course of this week, it has been difficult for me to fully get a lot of work done. However, I have been working at both my feature article and pictures. Both have already been done, but I just wanted to make sure that everything is right before adding them to my finished product. Things have been pretty hard to do the rest of this week, considering I have not been at school and all of the applications that I could use are accessible through my school account. However, I have been working with some alternatives, considering I will not be able to do it next week. I figured out how to work everything and put it all together in InDesign.

Production 5- Bringing It All Together

1/11/21-1/13/21: As I was putting things into InDesign, I realized that this application is not going to be very easy for me to use for my overall magazine. So I decided to change my application to Microsoft Publisher. I have used this application before and have found it pretty simple to work through. At this point in the project I do not think it would be a big deal to change; however, this may not work out and I might have to work with InDesign. I had to quarantine for the rest of this week, for personal reasons so I will have to adjust from using a school computer to now using my at home computer. I finished my feature article and now I am just fixing and finalizing everything that I have. Things will be a lot harder to put into an application; however, I will still be inserting these items and keeping everything together and organized.
